How to use BMW E90,E91,E81,E87 steering wheel controls for Car PC
This is the BMW E90,E91,E81,E87 steering wheel controls connector, this connector is connected to the clock spring in the steering wheel, and the signal wires go to the control box. You can get the signal wires after the clock spring. Because the signals(Right Signal, Left Signal) are resistive, they can be connected to CarPC JoyCon Exr(Ex) channels directly.
This document was released before JoyCon Exc was not developed.
It will not easy mechanically to get the resistive signal wire from the steering wheel controller connector above. Because the resistive signal wire goes into the clock spring.
The easy way to get the steering wheel controller signal is to get the CAN signal from the radio jack or clock spring.
If you use JoyCon Exc, you can get the CAN signal wire
from the clock spring with the baud rate 500 kbps,
from radio jack with the baud rate 100 kbps.
